Voxwire is a browser-based service offering all functionalities essential to web conferencing. The user interface can be flexible adjusted for each meeting by hiding or revealing functions displayed in the online meeting room.
If the host wants to schedule a web conference he needs to log into the online portal. However, the invitation process is not integrated with the local email client which means that the host needs to manually enter the participants' email addresses and the meeting is not automatically added to the host's outlook calendar.
When the host switches to screen sharing mode, participants need to be patient until they are able to see his desktop. In addition, participants cannot highlight things on the screen while the host shares his screen.
The integrated video conferencing functionality is easy to use. All users can resize and regroup the webcam-videos to suit their needs.
Bottom line: Voxwire offers all basic functions of an online online meeting software. Weak points of the tool are the invitation process and the screen sharing functionality.
